Davey has been behind the camera as a professional photographer for over a decade, and holds a bachelor’s in environmental studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York.

Growing up in coastal Massachusetts, he was engaged with diverse local ecosystems from his youngest years. His academic background in science and media reflects his intentional approach to understanding the natural world on its own terms and translating it for broader audiences.

He is currently merging these parallel pursuits as a student in the Science and Natural History Filmmaking M.F.A. program at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
